TGIF!!

Thank God It's Friday!! Yeah! Yeah!! Woopeeee! Woopeeeee!!!

Boss left at 230pm for meeting outside and will not be back.
C. immediately turn to me and say: "ah lyn! Your happy hour starts so early today!"haha! Yes! and in less than an hour time, my happy hour will officially starts!




One little thing that make me very glad this week.
C: ....sat is very precious..we are all so busy, sat is the only time when we can all come and meet each other....
Little Girl: Ya loh hoh, every saturday very look forward to coming to church one hoh!
It's really tough physically for your highness who sleeps at 9pm, latest 11pm on weekdays. But liitle things and changes like these gives me the motivation. Though my flesh fails me Lord, but i'll invest in lives over other things anytime:)



I am still eating and trying to make the best out of everyday at work. My can of hello panda is finishing, i am still snacking at every other hour.and and...two more days to pay day and not including today i have spent *gasp* $368.60 on food. This includes meals, snacks, sweets, drinks and any other form of edible things that goes in my stomach! so i said my financial consultant are so wrong when they allocated 200bucks for my stomach.


Ok ok, but i am trying to figure where all the money gone ,so i am calculating mah. So food really as i expected contributes to quite a substantial percentage of my salary. yes yes, maybe i should spend lesser on feeding the worms in my stomach. But oh well...

I went shopping twice this month and i did not buy anything ! Not even shoes! haha!



I have yet to take my grad pictures..



I am a month more to Mission trip!



My colleagues are very fascinated with my chinese name, and they launch into a hoo-ha about my name and romantic chinese romances and chinese warrior shows:)


I wish i can go out for lunch every day but that would also means more temptation to spend on food.



I like mediacorp/SPH cause they give nice gifts! :)


I wish weekdays were weekends instead. haha!


And as you can probably already tell, i cannot think of any more things to write lah!


I dun care lah!

The Road to Healing

For most part of my life that I have cognition, I live with the fear of death. Not my death but death of loved ones. It has been so long, I have more or less just resigned to living with it.  I had vague memory that even as a child, I would cry thinking about the death of my parents. I would go to their bedside and cry while they were sleeping. Now that I think about it, could it be some shows that I have watched because I do recall sobbing uncontrollably over the death of fictional characters in the drama. At the same time I was afraid of ghosts and spirits. I was healed as a youth during an encounter retreat. The facilitator asked me when did I start to be afraid of ghosts and spirits and I said it was attending my first Christian wake as a child when I viewed a dead body for the first time. The facilitator then led me in prayer and since that day, I am no longer afraid of such and was able to be alone in the night.  But still the fear of death of loved ones did not leave me...

To be or not to be feminist?

During Tuesday life group, a recently married young lady mentioned that she is somewhat of a feminist and struggles with the issue of submitting to her husband.  The issue is a complicated one. Firstly, the discourse on feminism is dynamic and many a time laced with emotions. Secondly, the idea of biblical submission is probably not studied or misunderstood. Lastly, one may not really be a feminist or had a submission issue, the root lies somewhere else.  Interestingly, I had on a few occasions been described as a submissive wife although I do not want to probe on the definitions by the people who paid me the compliment/criticism. What they do not know is if they had met the undergraduate me, they would probably think otherwise. The excitement of undergraduate life, the newfound independence and arts education had thrown me into a period of questioning, tears and anger.
