So this time miss dorc disguise herself as a bullet train:) *chuckles*

1. I am not updating because i don't have anything interesting to write. and i'm afraid you will soon get bored with my daily life!

2. I am having PMS aka Pre Mission-Trip Syndrome. The other day i dreamt that i went on the trip without bringing change of clothings. My current list of things to do for the trip is getting longer and longer just like my list of worries. Some of these worries are of course uncalled for and over exaggerated. I am getting anxious and edgy. But i will overcome it. My faith barrier, my moulding of characters. I shall not be defeated.

3. To make things more gloomy, their exam is getting me very agonized. Firstly because i too became a caged bird, very discipline, considerate and understanding to not disturb our friend a least bit!haha! Secondly, i think day and night over henry's list of things to do and worried bout him. Thirdly, the exams people for some odd reasons keep losing important things like matric card and wallet. Fourthly, i see mic bay having to do A'levels and trainings and bash, i also very xin ku!
But i'm gonna believe that God will see them through. I remember surviving leading an area and flying off right after i finish my last paper. And Wanxin surving 2years of travelling the day after us:)

4. I realises guys who keep looking at girls and discussing about them disgust me a lot!

5. I still find myself thinking a lot about school holidays and travelling trips.

6. It's been a long time since i last went to the beach.

7. I wish i dun have to work in December.Though to spend 500over bucks on camp and leader's retreat is a tough tough decision.

8. My breakfast comes in such gigantic portion that sometimes i have to eat it the big-mac style in order not to be late!

9. Recently, i've been busy with rice testing, sending rice samples...
The coloured boxes are some gifts from the supplier: A little reward for my hard work!haha!

10. On a much happier note, Christmas is just round the corner! I hope i have enough cash to buy many many presents! I'm gonna do up my shopping list after the trip!:)

The Road to Healing

For most part of my life that I have cognition, I live with the fear of death. Not my death but death of loved ones. It has been so long, I have more or less just resigned to living with it.  I had vague memory that even as a child, I would cry thinking about the death of my parents. I would go to their bedside and cry while they were sleeping. Now that I think about it, could it be some shows that I have watched because I do recall sobbing uncontrollably over the death of fictional characters in the drama. At the same time I was afraid of ghosts and spirits. I was healed as a youth during an encounter retreat. The facilitator asked me when did I start to be afraid of ghosts and spirits and I said it was attending my first Christian wake as a child when I viewed a dead body for the first time. The facilitator then led me in prayer and since that day, I am no longer afraid of such and was able to be alone in the night.  But still the fear of death of loved ones did not leave me...

To be or not to be feminist?

During Tuesday life group, a recently married young lady mentioned that she is somewhat of a feminist and struggles with the issue of submitting to her husband.  The issue is a complicated one. Firstly, the discourse on feminism is dynamic and many a time laced with emotions. Secondly, the idea of biblical submission is probably not studied or misunderstood. Lastly, one may not really be a feminist or had a submission issue, the root lies somewhere else.  Interestingly, I had on a few occasions been described as a submissive wife although I do not want to probe on the definitions by the people who paid me the compliment/criticism. What they do not know is if they had met the undergraduate me, they would probably think otherwise. The excitement of undergraduate life, the newfound independence and arts education had thrown me into a period of questioning, tears and anger.
