1. I really think that this job is not what i like. But the money is not too bad.



2. I get a lots of free samplings. Food samplings that is..cookies, seasons herbal tea, melody chupa chupp..



3. I enjoy having a big desk, lots of stationery and i like personalising my table.



4. I'm enjoying myself immersing in the culture of big corporation. But some of the stuff are rather troublesome. like the procedures to do anything even like getting stationery can be rather elaborate. The only plus point is, it provides some form of exercise.. my office to Hr to legal to franchise back to finance then to the reception...



5. I like all the benefits like free movies, the aunties who cook soup, the lunch uno game..



6. I dislike waking up early. sleeping at 11 is still not gonna get me my 8hours beauty sleep.



7. I dislike crowded public transport.



8. I still dislike boon lay. but i get to leave home tgt with kiddo and its so near ntu and well, west.



9. I regret accepting e job so fast but i am hesitating.. even more worried that i'll regret at another company. and of course my folks seems rather please with my current state.



10. My commencement is this saturday. and i've yet to get my white collar and black court shoes and have not iron my academic dress.



11. can't wait to try Ashton, the queue is a bit kill joy though.



12. I've decided i am gonna try donut factory.ha! but now i dun have the luxury to queue up.



13. I have a ben&jerry overdue..



14. Can't wait to see the video and pictures from the trip!



15. I wanna have a nice weekend stayover with cha cha bom and git-dom git-dom. Somewhere with big bathtub, nice hightea..



16. I need to have my hair trim, my nails painted and my brows shape..

17. I wish i can come to work without make up, dun have to think of what to wear, dun hv to iron my clothes every night.

18. I am constantly thinking about the next holidays.

19. Cousin is getting married and now i really have a proper reason to get new dress. dresses. one for the day and one for the night banquet.

20. I need sleep..haha! (sleep is repeated twice in this 20 statements. see e importance?:) )

The Road to Healing

For most part of my life that I have cognition, I live with the fear of death. Not my death but death of loved ones. It has been so long, I have more or less just resigned to living with it.  I had vague memory that even as a child, I would cry thinking about the death of my parents. I would go to their bedside and cry while they were sleeping. Now that I think about it, could it be some shows that I have watched because I do recall sobbing uncontrollably over the death of fictional characters in the drama. At the same time I was afraid of ghosts and spirits. I was healed as a youth during an encounter retreat. The facilitator asked me when did I start to be afraid of ghosts and spirits and I said it was attending my first Christian wake as a child when I viewed a dead body for the first time. The facilitator then led me in prayer and since that day, I am no longer afraid of such and was able to be alone in the night.  But still the fear of death of loved ones did not leave me...

To be or not to be feminist?

During Tuesday life group, a recently married young lady mentioned that she is somewhat of a feminist and struggles with the issue of submitting to her husband.  The issue is a complicated one. Firstly, the discourse on feminism is dynamic and many a time laced with emotions. Secondly, the idea of biblical submission is probably not studied or misunderstood. Lastly, one may not really be a feminist or had a submission issue, the root lies somewhere else.  Interestingly, I had on a few occasions been described as a submissive wife although I do not want to probe on the definitions by the people who paid me the compliment/criticism. What they do not know is if they had met the undergraduate me, they would probably think otherwise. The excitement of undergraduate life, the newfound independence and arts education had thrown me into a period of questioning, tears and anger.
