Random#1-My Mummy

My Mummy has quitted her job. Hopefully she's not retiring! haha!

So i went home after work.

Mummy: Go eat, the glass noodle is nice!
Me: You cooked one ah?
Mummy: No lah.
Me: Huh, then you whole day at home do what?
Mummy: I'm very busy k!
Me: Busy with what?
Mummy: You go to your room and see!

So i went to my room thinking that she cleaned the room. But what i saw was that the bedsheet was changed.

Me: Oh.. you change bedsheet ah?
Mummy: No i made them.
Me: ha! wahahaha! haha!

So i went and take a closer look. Eh.. the bedsheet is our old one but the pillowcase and bolster case are new and handmade.

Mummy: You go my room and see!

So i went. Exactly the same but only it's green!

Haha! So my mummy actually found cloth that is so similar to the old ones that we have! So she just made the pillow case and bolster case. And she amusingly made the exactly same one for her and daddy except ours is blue and theirs is green!
She also bought a white slightly lacey cloth. Awaiting to be cut to become my keyboard cover:)





Random #2- My Daddy

I know i always put up my breakfast pictures! Sorry! Can't help it! Needed to show the whole world my wonderful breakfast! Spot the difference in the pic below?
Yes, the one on the right is mine. The one with plastic cling sheet is for the mummy (Or can be anyone who's sleeping in) who's still sleeping!



Random#3: My Chauffeur

So on a Thurday night, i had ba chor mee for supper. Suprisingly ( suprisingly to me), rail mall is so crowded on a Thurday night.

 Random #4: My Colleague

A: That new girl xxx is very quiet!

Then pointing to me

A: More quiet than you!

See Fervour! See! People think that i'm quiet (maybe and demure, and sweet and...:))Althought that meiling who heard it look like she wants to laugh!

hmm...

The Road to Healing

For most part of my life that I have cognition, I live with the fear of death. Not my death but death of loved ones. It has been so long, I have more or less just resigned to living with it.  I had vague memory that even as a child, I would cry thinking about the death of my parents. I would go to their bedside and cry while they were sleeping. Now that I think about it, could it be some shows that I have watched because I do recall sobbing uncontrollably over the death of fictional characters in the drama. At the same time I was afraid of ghosts and spirits. I was healed as a youth during an encounter retreat. The facilitator asked me when did I start to be afraid of ghosts and spirits and I said it was attending my first Christian wake as a child when I viewed a dead body for the first time. The facilitator then led me in prayer and since that day, I am no longer afraid of such and was able to be alone in the night.  But still the fear of death of loved ones did not leave me...

To be or not to be feminist?

During Tuesday life group, a recently married young lady mentioned that she is somewhat of a feminist and struggles with the issue of submitting to her husband.  The issue is a complicated one. Firstly, the discourse on feminism is dynamic and many a time laced with emotions. Secondly, the idea of biblical submission is probably not studied or misunderstood. Lastly, one may not really be a feminist or had a submission issue, the root lies somewhere else.  Interestingly, I had on a few occasions been described as a submissive wife although I do not want to probe on the definitions by the people who paid me the compliment/criticism. What they do not know is if they had met the undergraduate me, they would probably think otherwise. The excitement of undergraduate life, the newfound independence and arts education had thrown me into a period of questioning, tears and anger.
