Youth Impact Camp
It was awesome to be at YI camp even for a session. God's presence was just so immense and it is the best thing on earth to busk in God's presence:)
I went for my first youth camp when I was 10 and subsequently for every YI camps I think. I remember last year some of them were just teasing me and said that I can be presented a long service award and retire hence forth.
"retirement" came earlier than I expected. Last year became my last YI camp. I am not the most active person on earth as you would have already know. I lack the brains to win game, the legs to run and a pampered body which by now finds cold water and cemented floor extremely challenging for my body. And every YI camp, I beat my body to run during games , to not say a word about cold water and sleep when it's time to.
But I am not complaining , in fact, I miss those times..:) I like being enthusiastic, I like friendly competitions, I like being disciplined, I like some days of communal living, I like it that each year we come out with even more brilliant games, cheers, banners and even more efficient way of running camp. And I love it most that I am encouraged/made to seek God first thing in the morning and last thing before I sleep.
No other camps would ever match YI camps because when there is God, even the fun level increases:)
As I look back at all these years, I am extremely grateful and bless that in my growing up years, a bunch of people worked really hard every holiday so that every December I have fun and I grow closer to God...:)
